Corio Quay, Melbourne

Our team was engaged initially to provide design management and constructability review of the marine structures. Due to the large berthing load requirement and space constraint, the detailing for the fendering structures was challenging. Our team worked collaboratively with the contractor and the maritime engineer to provide different concepts which improved buildability. We were subsequently engaged to provide the temporary formwork solution for a number of fendering structures. The largest structure was approx. 20m x 3.5m x 2.5m deep. The formwork structure utilised a mixture of temporary steel and sacrificial concrete panels.
